Comments: This European import loses its needles in the fall and new needles appear in the spring. Most people do not expect a tree with needles to be a deciduous and certainly it is not a common sight. Next to the European Larch is a white pine tree; compare how the needles of the larch grow along the branches and pine needles grow in a group at the end of the branches.
