Comments: As the Norway Spruce ages the branches begin to droop and this is very noticeable with the large old spruces on the front campus lawn. Stations 11, 12 and 13 provide a chance to view three coniferous trees close together and to note different needle compositions of each. The Norway spruce is a popular Christmas tree, and when planted in a landscape, it provides natural screening.
