Comments: Year round maroon or red-purple foliage color is what makes this Crimson King Norway Maple stand out from the tree community here on the front campus lawn. This is a beautiful specimen tree and a great example of this popular landscape cultivar. The normal Norway maple has the same large leaf shape with dark green color. Many have suggested that planting Norway maples be stopped because it has become a rapid growing nuisance to native woodlands.
