Comments: The weeping willow is probably one of the most easily identified trees because of its exceptional drooping pendulous branches and foliage. Weeping willows thrive in moist wet soils and can be readily found growing along streams, lakes and wetlands. The environment around the Nokomis Creek is excellent for this tree to grow in. Care should be taken when planting willow, because they are weak wooded and branches can fall easily from wind and storms.
