Comments: Quaking Aspen gets its name from the appearance this tree creates when the wind blows. The leaves shake and quake when the wind stirs filling the tree with movement. This tree does not have any landscape value because it is weak wooded, prone to disease and has an invasive root system. But, it is important in other ways as a pioneer species to disturbed sites, for pulpwood, for lumber and also, wildlife that find the quaking aspen precious as a food source during winter.
