Comments: Unlike the river and paper birch the yellow birch is not used in typical landscape applications because of its dull colored bark. However, this tree is used in wood products such as cabinets and furniture. If you have a strong nose the leaves or twigs can be crushed to detect a scent of wintergreen. This tree can be found in cool sites with moist soil conditions.
