Envirothon

Lackawanna

Wyoming

The Envirothon is an environmental education program where local schools in Lackawanna, Wyoming, and Sullivan Counties come to Keystone College each year to contend against each other in a battle of knowledge.  The winners of this competition then proceed to the state level, and finally those winners go to the nationals!

Each year school teams test their knowledge on the following subjects:

bulletAquatics
bulletWildlife
bulletSoils
bulletForestry

Additionally there is a current environmental issue which changes annually.  This year's issue is Urban Nonpoint Source Pollution.  If you are interested in participating in the 2001 Envirothon, do not hesitate to contact your Conservation District.  The date for this year is May 15th.
